The Department of Territory, Housing, and Ecological Transition plans to implement an expansion of the capacity of the bus line connecting Lloret de Mar, Vidreres, and Girona before the end of the year, with an investment of 250,000 euros.

Despite previous expansions, the service continues to suffer from overcrowding due to high demand, a situation that particularly affects users from Vidreres, who often find the buses full when arriving from Lloret de Mar.
This service capacity improvement is included in the second action plan for public transport enhancement and is part of the program contract. The operating company is exploring mechanisms to strengthen the service and expects to have new resources available in November to make the expansion effective within the established timeline.
Next week, the Director of the Department's Territorial Services in Girona, Joan Vicente, and the Head of the Territorial Transport Service of Girona, Albert Carenys, will meet with user representatives to discuss the issue and inform them about the planned actions.
