The Department of Territory, Housing and Ecological Transition has started rehabilitation works this week at the Solsona bus station, investing 565,000 euros to modernize the facility and increase user safety.

This action in the capital of Solsonès is part of a broader plan that also includes improvements to the stations in Balaguer and Les Borges Blanques. The budget allocated to Solsona represents more than half of the total intervention plan.
The works, which will last six months, focus on the renovation of structural and enclosure elements. Glass will be replaced by more resistant materials such as polycarbonate, damaged pavements will be repaired, and drainage systems and signage will be improved.
In addition to structural improvements, the project seeks to increase passenger comfort and safety. A defibrillator will be installed, along with new ischiatic seats, and urban furniture will be renewed to adapt the space to the current needs of public transport.

These actions reinforce the role of the stations as basic nodes of the interurban mobility network, especially in inland regions where the bus is a fundamental alternative to private vehicles.

The station, located on Guitart passage, is a key infrastructure for mobility in Solsonès, as sixteen interurban lines operate there, connecting the region with important cities such as Manresa, Berga, Lleida, and Barcelona.
