The Bombers de la Generalitat (Catalan Firefighters) received the alert at 8:41 PM on Sunday and deployed a unit to the affected home, located on Primera Avinguda street in the urbanization.
The Sistema d'Emergències Mèdiques (SEM) (Medical Emergency System) was already on site treating the three affected individuals when the firefighters arrived. As a precaution, the entire street was evacuated, and traffic was cut off for safety.
According to initial reports from the Firefighters, the poisoning was likely caused by a malfunctioning boiler. Personnel proceeded to take carbon monoxide measurements and ventilate the affected dwelling.
Finally, the SEM transferred the intoxicated individuals to the hyperbaric chamber at Hospital de Sant Joan Despí Moisès Broggi to receive the necessary specialized treatment.
