This new sports facility, intended for skateboarding, roller skating, and other urban sports, will be located next to the municipal pavilion and the paddle courts. The project will transform a currently underutilized space into a new hub for activity and community gathering in El Morell.
“"The project is born with the objective of responding to a real and sustained demand from the young people of El Morell."
The track will be made of skateable concrete and will follow the street modality, including gentle ramps, curbs, boxes, rails, pyramids, and quarters. The design is intended to be compatible with both beginner and advanced users.
Obstacles will be built in situ to ensure better durability and reduce maintenance needs, avoiding prefabricated elements. Furthermore, the area will be delimited, and access will only be possible during the opening hours of the sports pavilion. Sports Councillor Mònica Casas highlighted that the facility reinforces El Morell's image as an “active, modern town sensitive to new forms of sport and urban culture.”
