The program of activities, designed for family enjoyment, combines elements of tradition, culture, music, and theatre, providing gathering spaces for all ages. Mayor Eloi Calbet and the Councilor for Culture and Festivities, Miquel Roig, highlighted the importance of citizen participation and community involvement.
“"We want Christmas in El Morell to be a time to go out and feel the town pulsating with activities that unite us."
As usual, the Tió (Catalan Christmas log) will be one of the main attractions, arriving first at the Ventura Gassol School (from December 9 to 12) and later moving to the City Hall lobby. Music will also play a key role with the charity concert for La Marató de 3Cat, organized by the El Morell Municipal Music School and Voluntariat del Morell on Sunday, December 14, and the Christmas concert featuring DeVanda Brass at the Teatre Auditori.
Regarding theatre, the Grup de Teatre La Sala will present its specific Christmas play, La profecia de Betlem, on December 27 and 28. Furthermore, from December 27 to 29, the Municipal Pavilion will host the Christmas Park, a large area for games and activities, including inflatables and workshops for children.
New Year's Eve will be celebrated with a dinner at the Municipal Pavilion, followed by a gala dance with the Orquestra Venus and a youth tent featuring DJ Nil Cavallé and Arnau Gimeno. The festivities will culminate on January 5 with the traditional Three Wise Men Parade, who will distribute gluten-free candies for the second consecutive year.
“"The associative fabric is what gives life and meaning to these festivities, which are, above all, a collective celebration that is very much ours."
