The call for entries, which aims to promote contemporary musical creation, is supported by the Constantí City Council, the “Rafel Gibert Recasens” Municipal Music School, the MNAT (National Archaeological Museum of Tarragona), and sponsored by REPSOL.
“"The commitment to quality culture with awards that are now reaching their sixth edition and have grown in participation every year."
The main novelty of this edition is that the works must be written exclusively for classical guitar, without electroacoustic means. Remei Tell, from the Associació Amics de la Música, stressed the value of consolidating the initiative after six editions.
“"The prestige these awards have acquired, and the commitment to classical guitar, a very popular instrument with great tradition in our country."
Josep Boada, director of the Municipal Music School, reminded attendees that the winning work will premiere during the Centcelles Concert Cycle in July 2026. The deadline for submitting unpublished scores is Friday, May 15, 2026, and the winner will receive 3,000 euros.
