A 2.7 magnitude earthquake on the Richter scale occurred this Sunday morning off the coast of Tarragonès, according to data from the Institut Cartogràfic i Geològic de Catalunya.

The seismic movement was located at 03:43, with the epicenter situated at a depth of about five kilometers and one kilometer offshore. According to the official body, the quake was not felt by the public and no damage has been reported in the area.
This episode adds to recent seismic activity in the same geographical area. On June 23, another 2.3 magnitude movement was recorded, which also had no impact on the population and caused no material damage.
