The province of Tarragona will be the main beneficiary of the first affordable rental call from the new state company Casa 47, with 56 flats available in four municipalities.

The new state public housing company, Casa 47, has opened its first affordable rental call in Catalonia, of which the province of Tarragona will receive 56 out of the 93 homes offered in Catalan territory. This program is part of a broader initiative that includes 645 homes across various autonomous communities.
In the Tarragona province, the homes are distributed among La Ràpita (19), El Vendrell (17), Amposta (11), and La Pobla de Mafumet (9). The flats range from 42 to 128 square meters, with rental prices between 350 and 794 euros per month, and an average rent of 7.56 euros per square meter in Catalonia.
The program is aimed at households that do not own other properties and whose income is between 2 and 7.5 times the IPREM. The rent will not exceed 30% of the municipality's average income. The selection of recipients will be made by lottery after the application deadline on September 10th.
Casa 47, established in December 2025, aims to promote, build, and directly manage the state's affordable housing stock. Contracts will have an initial duration of 14 years, renewable for seven-year periods up to a maximum of 75 years, seeking to offer stability to tenants.
