Alert for intense heat this Monday in the Tarragona region

Temperatures will rise across the territory and thermometers could exceed 40 degrees in some areas.

The Meteorological Service has activated an alert for a day of intense heat this Monday, July 6, with a generalized increase in temperatures across the territory.

The forecast indicates that the weather will be extremely hot throughout the day. Both minimum and maximum temperatures will rise, with the highest values exceeding 40 ºC, especially in the Ribera d'Ebre area.
Regarding the sky, it will remain clear or with little cloudiness, although clouds of diurnal evolution could appear in parts of the Pyrenees, Pre-Pyrenees, and the pre-coastal range. No precipitation is expected anywhere in the region.
The wind will blow lightly and variably during the morning, with a predominance of land breezes on the coast. From midday onwards, the southern component will prevail, gaining intensity in the afternoon in the Terres de l'Ebre and the south of Ponent, where strong gusts are possible. Visibility will remain good to excellent.
