The Generalitat de Catalunya announced this Wednesday, February 11, that the Urban Master Plan (PDU) for the Camp de Tarragona area will be approved before 2030.

The Director General of Territory Planning, Elisabet Cirici, presented the Metropolitan Strategy in la Canonja. This document defines the operational dimensions for the future metropolitan area, focusing on shared governance and regional synergy.

"The goal is not to reverse the reality of the territory, but to seek better organization and planning. There will be sacrifices, but also many gains."

The PDU will establish guidelines that municipal plans must follow. Key priorities identified include mobility, housing, and energy sustainability, aligned with the 2030 Agenda.
