The operation, coordinated by Civil Protection, aims primarily to prevent road congestion and protect natural spaces. Among the most notable measures, truck traffic will be prohibited on the AP-7 southbound, between Martorell and Ulldecona, during the afternoon of August 12.
The security device will include 700 officers from the Mossos d'Esquadra, who will focus on areas with the best visibility of the phenomenon, such as Camp de Tarragona, Terres de l'Ebre, and Ponent. Additionally, drone units and helicopters will be used to monitor mobility from the air.
Authorities recommend that citizens plan their trips in advance and use the official observation points enabled in various municipalities. It is reminded that stopping on road shoulders to observe the phenomenon is strictly discouraged due to serious road safety risks.
