The suspension of the Rodalies service was announced via public address system just as travelers were already aboard the train. Upon being forced to disembark, the lack of an effective emergency plan became evident at the Tarragona station.
Users had to find solutions on their own, resorting to taxis or contacting family and friends for pickup, as no immediate substitute vehicle was provided by the railway company.
The atmosphere was one of deep indignation and discomfort among travelers who saw how the lack of foresight left them completely helpless.
It was not until almost two hours after the suspension that a bus arrived to transfer passengers bound for Reus and Barcelona, without making further stops. Subsequently, at half past two in the afternoon, the platform was reopened for another train heading to Reus, collecting the few remaining passengers.
