During the plenary session held this Thursday, the council formalized its support for a joint initiative with several municipalities in the Camp de Tarragona region. This agreement seeks to guarantee job stability and the maintenance of industrial activity in the face of reorganization processes announced by companies in the sector, such as Dow.
The text, signed by ten municipalities in the area, emphasizes the need to maintain a transparent and responsible dialogue with institutions and affected workers to ensure the quality of employment in the territory.
On the other hand, the plenary session provisionally approved the Special Urban Plan for the Turó School – Institució Tarragona. This project, which has an estimated investment of 12 million euros, aims to unify the educational stages of the Turó and Aura spaces into a single location.
The urban development will be carried out in three phases and includes the construction of a new building for Early Childhood Education, as well as the creation of new sports facilities and future teaching spaces for the center.
