Long-distance and high-speed trains passing through the Camp de Tarragona station suffered delays of over half an hour this Tuesday, February 3, 2026, forcing passengers to wait on platforms in cold weather.

A chaotic situation unfolded at the Camp de Tarragona station, where users who had opted for high-speed rail were not spared from the incidents. Minimum delays were half an hour on most trains. Furthermore, many passengers had to spend half an hour waiting on the open-air platforms, enduring temperatures around four degrees, after passing through security control.
Although the first Avant train of the morning, originating from Lleida, departed punctually towards Barcelona at 7:35 AM, the problems began immediately afterward. The next train, scheduled for 7:47 AM (coming from Tortosa), departed towards Barcelona at 8:33 AM, accumulating a delay of 56 minutes. Apparently, this train had been stopped for half an hour at the La Boella interchange.
Other services were also affected. The Media Distancia train (operating like an Avant) coming from Lleida, scheduled to depart at 7:55 AM, arrived in Tarragona more than 40 minutes late. Likewise, the AVE train from Madrid also accumulated a half-hour delay, with a scheduled departure towards Barcelona at 8:53 AM instead of 8:23 AM.
This situation led to overcrowding both on the platforms and in the areas before passenger control at the Camp de Tarragona station, severely impacting the morning mobility of travelers.
