According to official data from the Ministry of the Interior, thefts were the most frequent criminal offense, with 4,583 cases recorded, a 2.2% decrease. Robberies with force in establishments also saw a notable reduction of 7.8%.
Despite the general downward trend, a worrying increase is observed in certain types of offenses. Intentional homicides or attempted homicides fell by a significant 31.8%, but sexual assaults with penetration rose by 24.7%. Furthermore, serious injury offenses increased by 8.1%, and cybercrime grew by 8.8%.

Regarding cities with over 20,000 inhabitants, Salou and Amposta recorded crime rate decreases of around 10%. In contrast, Vila-seca experienced a 7.3% rise, and Reus, a 6.1% increase.
At the regional level, four murders were recorded, the same number as in the first half of the previous year, while attempted murders decreased from 22 to 15. Offenses against sexual freedom dropped by 4.5%, totaling 256 cases.
Other municipalities with significant decreases in overall criminal offenses include Calafell (-8.3%), Valls (-8.1%), Cambrils (-6.3%), el Vendrell (-4.5%), Tarragona (-4.2%), and Tortosa (-1.9%).
