The Santa Perpètua de Mogoda City Council has organized a special program for Senior Citizens' Week, featuring a central event with a snack and dance on October 2nd, alongside various cultural and historical activities.

Until next September 25th, residents over 65 years old registered in Santa Perpètua de Mogoda can collect their free tickets for the main event of Senior Citizens' Week. This activity, which includes a snack and dance with music by Grup Aura, will take place on Friday, October 2nd, starting at 6 PM at the Porxada dels Drets Humans. Tickets can be collected at the Granja Soldevila between 9 AM and 7 PM upon presentation of ID. Accompanying individuals under 65 will need to purchase a ticket for eight euros.
Senior Citizens' Week, coinciding with October 1st, International Day of Older Persons, will commence on Tuesday, September 29th, with a guided tour by the MTIV. This route will cover the Casal d'avis building, the farmhouses of La Rambla, and the church of Santa Perpètua de Mogoda, exploring local history. Two one-hour sessions are scheduled, at 10 AM and 11:30 AM.
On Wednesday, September 30th, the Exhibition Hall will host the "Ordint Revolucions" exhibition by Iris Garcia Serra, also with two guided sessions at 10 AM and 11:30 AM. The following day, Thursday, October 1st, the MTIV will offer an itinerary through "Les cases de la Florida," starting from La Florida station at 10 AM to learn about the neighborhood's history.
Registration for these guided activities is open at the Granja Soldevila until September 25th. The Councilor for Senior Citizens, Ana Bajo, highlighted in a letter that the snack and dance is "one of the city's oldest celebrations, with over 80 years of history" and that the week "offers us the opportunity to value this stage of life and advocate for active, participatory, and energetic aging."
