The Urban Style carnival group from Tarragona has issued a statement to denounce a food poisoning incident that, they claim, affected 57 of its members. The incident occurred after their annual dinner, which took place on January 17, 2026, at the Restaurant Nàutic in Tarragona.
According to the group's account, they already noticed
“"shortcomings in the service and the quantity of food"
during the dinner itself. The situation worsened the following day when many attendees began to experience symptoms of discomfort. The group states that
“"a total of 57 members of the group ended up suffering from food poisoning"
Some of those affected, according to the same source, required medical attention and some even had to be hospitalized.
The entity activated the protocol with Public Health, and subsequent inspections and analyses confirmed that the cause of the poisoning was spoiled food. The group has held discussions with the restaurant, which initially expressed willingness to address the situation. However, the response has been
“"partial and insufficient"
Many of those affected have still not received a solution, despite having submitted all required documentation. Faced with this situation, the group has decided to make the complaint public and warns that if they do not receive an immediate response, they will initiate legal action. So far, Restaurant Nàutic has not made any public statement regarding the reported events.
