The police operation began after receiving a report of a fight in the Campclar neighborhood of Tarragona. Upon identifying one of the individuals involved, officers confirmed he had an active arrest warrant issued by the El Vendrell Investigation Unit, leading immediately to his arrest.
“"We received a notice about a fight in Tarragona. We identified a man and discovered he has an active arrest warrant. We arrested him: linked to 12 burglaries in homes and 2 vehicle thefts in Baix Penedès, Tarragonès, and Baix Camp."
According to the investigation, the detainee allegedly committed ten burglaries in homes in Baix Penedès between November 17 and December 21 last year. In most cases, he gained access by climbing and forcing doors or windows with tools, stealing mainly jewelry, cash, and items easily sold on the second-hand market.
The robberies began on November 17 in Cunit. Subsequently, he operated in Mas d’en Mel and Coma-ruga, and perpetrated four more burglaries in Segur de Calafell. During one of these assaults, he stole the keys to a vehicle he used to flee, causing an accident in Cunit before escaping on foot.
The El Vendrell Investigation Unit managed to link him to three additional robberies committed between December 20 and 21, including the theft of a vehicle in the Mongons urbanization (Tarragona) and a robbery in Mont-roig del Camp. The detainee was brought before the duty court in El Vendrell this Saturday morning.
