The plenary session of the Diputació de Tarragona, held this Friday, was marked by the change in representation for ERC with the formalization of the resignation of deputy Eduard Rovira. The session began with the reading of two institutional declarations focused on key issues for the territory.
The first declaration focused on the need to improve stroke (ictus) medical care in the Camp de Tarragona area. The agreements urge the Department of Health, CATSalut, and the ICS to urgently implement a comprehensive 24-hour stroke care service throughout the year at Hospital Joan XXIII.
The second institutional declaration addressed the critical situation of the railway system across the country. The Plenary demanded a safe, reliable, and accessible service for the demarcation, and urged the infrastructure administrations to prioritize investments and accelerate the execution of the Rodalies Plan 2020-2030.
One of the most relevant economic points was the approval of a credit modification that will allocate 250,000 euros to the Association for the Metropolitan Impulse of Camp de Tarragona. These funds aim to develop the metropolitan project, an initiative constituted by the municipalities of the Impulsor Group in October 2025 with the financial support of the Diputació.
