The incident took place shortly after 11:00 PM on the T-11 highway. The car, traveling from Reus, failed to negotiate the turn into the roundabout and struck a metal fence and a concrete safety barrier before flipping onto its side.
Four Fire Department crews from Tarragona and Reus spent thirty minutes extracting the victim from the wreckage. The SEM medical service later transported the individual to Joan XXIII Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Local police, the Mossos d'Esquadra, are investigating the crash at this notorious accident hotspot. This follows a nearly identical collision at the same location early Monday morning involving three other injuries.
