The city of Tarragona will host the eighth edition of the Tarragona Sona Flamenc festival from October 5th to 12th, an event that this year stands out for its strong female presence.

The festival, which will take place in various public spaces and venues such as the Teatre Tarragona and the Espai Jove Kesse, includes performances by genre icons and local talent. The program aims to highlight the flamenco tradition rooted in the city, combining dance, singing, and cultural outreach.
This year's edition incorporates a renewed visual identity based on formal simplicity and the use of new typography. Furthermore, the festival maintains its commitment to social mediation through participatory projects in neighborhoods like Sant Salvador and activities open to the public, such as the traditional flashmob at plaça Corsini.

"Tarragona has had flamenco for many years; we have not created it anew, but rather brought together and valued the work of many dance schools and many dancers, singers, and musicians in the city."
