The El Morell City Council started construction this Monday on a new covered multi-purpose sports hall and the conversion of the Senior Services Center into an assisted living residence.

The covered sports hall project, awarded to the company Constècnia 3 SL for over 2,100,000 euros, has an estimated execution period of ten months. This new facility, reviewed by the Catalan Sports Council, will be a versatile space for training, competitions, and large-scale events.

"We are taking a decisive step to provide our town with a modern, functional, and top-level sports facility that will serve hundreds of people every week."

Mònica Casas · Sports Councilor
The second project involves adapting the current Senior Services Center into a 24-hour assisted living residence. This work was awarded to Tomás Gracia Corporación SA for more than 1,700,000 euros, with a planned duration of eleven months. The new residence will strengthen the local professional care services offered.

"With this investment, we promote a welfare model that cares for our elderly and offers them dignified, local resources adapted to their needs."

M. Jesús Valldosera · Welfare and Senior Citizens Councilor

"These are two highly anticipated projects that address primary social and sports needs, placing El Morell in a new phase of significant investment in local facilities."

Eloi Calbet · Mayor of El Morell
