The El Morell City Council has launched an open competitive examination to establish a job pool for local guards (category C2) for the Municipal Guard, accepting applications until February 16 to meet staffing needs.

The El Morell City Council, located in the Tarragonès region, has initiated a selection process to form a pool of local guards. This job pool, classified as category C2, will allow the temporary incorporation of personnel to cover absences, voluntary resignations, substitution needs, or unexpected vacancies within the Municipal Guard force.
The main duties assigned to the applicants include the custody and surveillance of municipal assets, services, and facilities, as well as the management and regulation of traffic within the urban area. They are also expected to participate actively in citizen assistance and civil protection tasks, ensuring compliance with municipal ordinances and resolutions, and patrolling the entire municipal area.
Mandatory requirements for application include being a Spanish citizen, having reached the age of 18, and demonstrating knowledge of the two official languages in Catalonia. Minimum height requirements are also established: 1.55 meters for women and 1.65 meters for men. The selection process involves several mandatory and eliminatory tests, including Catalan language proficiency, psychotechnical, cultural, specific knowledge, physical aptitude, and a medical examination.
The gross annual salary for the position is 26,311.88 euros, distributed over fourteen payments. The working schedule will be flexible, potentially including mornings, afternoons, weekends, and holidays, depending on service needs. Applications must be submitted by Monday, February 16, either in person at the general registry or electronically via the El Morell City Council Electronic Headquarters. The examination fee is 25 euros, with exemptions for unemployed individuals and those with disabilities.
