The environmental platform SOS Costa i Camp de Tarragona has voiced its opposition to the 4.4-meter width of the upcoming coastal path connecting Savinosa and Arrabassada beaches in Tarragona.

Although the revised project reduces the original width by 12%, activists argue it remains too large for the coastal environment. The group has requested access to the final blueprints, complaining about a lack of direct communication from the City Council and the Spanish Government.

"We are not happy. We have not been able to participate in the meetings between the administrations."

The project, valued at 950,000 euros, will now run further inland to protect local dunes and habitats. Authorities maintain that the 4.4-meter width is the legal minimum required to allow emergency vehicle access to the area.
