The Servei Meteorològic de Catalunya has issued warnings for high temperatures affecting much of the region. Thermometers are expected to exceed 36 ºC inland, with values potentially reaching 40 ºC in parts of Ponent. This hot weather will be accompanied by very low humidity, a factor that complicates the forest fire situation.
Given this scenario, Protecció Civil has kept the INFOCAT Plan alert active. The Agents Rurals have planned the activation of level 3 of the Pla Alfa in numerous municipalities, while some areas will reach level 4, indicating extreme danger. These restrictions include closing access to natural spaces such as the Muntanyes de Prades, the Montmell-Marmellar range, and the Parc Natural de la Serra de Montsant.
The Bombers de la Generalitat have reinforced their operational deployment in the Camp de Tarragona and Terres de l'Ebre emergency regions. Staffing levels in control rooms have been increased, and several volunteer fire stations have been opened to ensure a rapid response to any incidents.
