The President of the Generalitat, Salvador Illa, announced this Wednesday that the Government is committed to launching continuous stroke care services in Tarragona without delay.

During a parliamentary session, Illa stated that the Ministry of Health is currently defining the timeline for the project. He emphasized that the start date will be determined by the recruitment of qualified medical professionals to ensure high-quality care.

"The schedule will depend on the availability of professionals with guarantees to offer a good service."

The commitment follows recent protests where 500 people gathered at the Balcó del Mediterrani to demand 24-hour stroke treatment at the Joan XXIII Hospital, highlighting a significant local healthcare demand.
