The Joan XXIII University Hospital in Tarragona launched the fifth edition of the Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) course this week, strengthening its position as a leading center for trauma care training.

Endorsed by the American College of Surgeons, this international program has already trained 80 healthcare professionals. Notably, 35 of these specialists work within the Tarragona region, enhancing the local capacity to handle critical life-threatening emergencies.

"ATLS is taught in 87 countries and represents a guarantee of applying the best practices in trauma care."
