La Canonja City Council and the Tarragona Municipal Transport Company (EMT) have reached an agreement to increase bus frequencies between the two towns starting March 2nd.

The service improvement follows weeks of technical meetings between La Canonja and Tarragona officials. The main goal is to meet citizen demands and facilitate daily commuting for work, education, or healthcare reasons within the Tarragonès region.
Specifically, Line 30 will add three new frequencies in each direction, while Line 3 will include one more trip towards Tarragona. With these updates, the service will provide 75 daily trips on weekdays, 49 on Saturdays, and 50 on Sundays and public holidays.
Local authorities highlighted that the expansion targets peak hours with the highest passenger volume. Both administrations expressed their commitment to continue collaborating on more sustainable and efficient mobility solutions for the area.
