The Company of Saint Teresa of Jesus commemorates its 150th anniversary with an international event gathering approximately 300 people from 21 countries between June 19th and 23rd, with activities in Tortosa, Montserrat, and Tarragona.

The celebration of the 150th anniversary of the Company of Saint Teresa of Jesus, known as the Teresianas de Ossó, will take place from June 19th to 23rd with an international gathering expected to bring together around 300 participants from 21 nations. The pilgrimage will commence at the Spirituality House in Jesús, Tortosa, a city with strong ties to the congregation, where the founder, Saint Enrique de Ossó, lived as a seminarian, priest, and catechist.
Each day will begin with the "Quarter Hour of Prayer," a spiritual practice established by the founder. On Saturday, June 20th, attendees will travel to Montserrat to join the Conventual Mass with the monastic community and renew the company's consecration to the Virgin of Montserrat, an act the saint himself performed in 1881.
On Sunday, June 21st, the pilgrimage will move to Tarragona, the city where Saint Enrique de Ossó founded the company. After visiting the chapel of Saint Paul, they will participate in the Thanksgiving Eucharist at Tarragona Cathedral, presided over by Archbishop Joan Planellas. Subsequently, attendees will enjoy a festive and cultural meal at Warehouse 1 of the Port of Tarragona.
On Monday, June 22nd, back in Tortosa, a webinar will be held on the congregation's historical journey. To conclude the five days of pilgrimage, on June 23rd in Tarragona, coinciding with the 150th anniversary of the congregation's founding in 1876, participating sisters will renew their vows at the chapel of Saint Paul.

"This gathering aims to reflect the availability to continue responding to current challenges with evangelical audacity, promptness, and generosity."

Sr. Ángela Cuadra · General Coordinator of the Company
