The convergence of three large vessels at the Balearic Quay marked one of the most significant days of the season for Tarragona Cruise Port. The operation managed a total of 12,508 passengers, including embarkations, disembarkations, and transit.
Since the start of the season, the port of Tarragona has recorded 37 calls and 68,263 cruise passengers. The forecast for this year points to a new record, with 80 calls and 160,000 passengers expected by the end of the campaign.
Both the MSC Virtuosa and the Norwegian Dawn made their first calls in Tarragona, while the Viking Star made its second call of the season. The MSC Virtuosa, inaugurated in 2021, is 331 meters long and arrived with 6,338 passengers. The Norwegian Dawn handled 2,623 disembarkations and 2,647 embarkations for an eight-day cruise. The Viking Star, measuring 228 meters, embarked 900 passengers for a seven-day Mediterranean itinerary.
These figures consolidate the port's commitment to sustainable growth, reinforcing Tarragona as an emerging and established destination in the cruise market.
