The new facilities align with the offerings of other shipyards in the area, such as Astilleros de Mallorca and Astillero PTW, providing services ranging from refitting and repair to technical consultancy and spare parts supply. These establishments coexist with businesses in hospitality, technological consulting, logistics, and real estate, creating a diverse ecosystem within the port.
With Lürssen's presence, Tarragona's capacity as a technical port for the repair and supply of increasingly sophisticated yacht equipment is strengthened. The German company, founded in 1875 in Bremen, is known for building vessels over 100 meters long, considered among the largest and most luxurious globally.
Sources in the luxury navigation sector indicate that these brand locations serve to provide assistance to the company's own vessels, as well as for warranty work or final adjustments on already completed craft. Each Lürssen commission is a unique and personalized project, built from scratch according to the owner's specific requirements.
Among the firm's megayachts that frequent Port Tarraco are the Quattroelle, belonging to the Crown Prince of Dubai, and the Al Lusail, owned by the Emir of Qatar. The Al Said, owned by the Sultan of Oman, has also been seen at these facilities.
