The incident occurred around 10:45 PM when a police unit observed two electric scooter riders disobeying a red traffic light on the N-340 highway, near the Ponent neighborhood.
Upon stopping the two riders for identification, officers detected symptoms consistent with drug use. A search of one individual revealed a fanny pack containing 11.8 grams of ketamine, 3.22 grams of MDMA, and 0.54 grams of LSD, along with a 50 euro bill, two one-dollar bills, and a small metal spoon.
Consequently, the man was arrested as the alleged perpetrator of a crime against public health. The scooter he was riding was taken to the municipal impound lot.
The second rider, aged 29, was fined for multiple violations: running a red light, riding without a reflective vest at night, and testing positive for drugs. His personal mobility device was also immobilized.
