Motorcyclist dies in road accident in Renau

A motorcyclist died this Sunday afternoon, February 15, following a road departure on the TV-2032 highway in Renau, located in the Tarragonès region.

The incident occurred at kilometer point 3.8. The Catalan Transit Service reported that Mossos d'Esquadra received the alert at 5:18 PM. For reasons still under investigation, the driver lost control of the motorcycle and veered off the road.
Emergency services, including three police patrols, two fire crews from Bombers de la Generalitat, and SEM medical units, attended the scene. The road was closed in both directions, resulting in four-kilometer traffic jams.
This death brings the total number of road fatalities in Catalonia to nine so far in 2026, with three of these victims occurring in the Tarragona province.
