Railway operators Renfe and Adif have announced that starting next Monday, March 16, Regional South train passengers must use replacement buses to reach Barcelona.

The maintenance work in the Garraf tunnel will restrict traffic to a single track for approximately three months. This operational constraint will lead to frequency adjustments on the R2 Sud line and the activation of an alternative road transport plan until June.
The special plan establishes that the section between Sant Vicenç de Calders and El Prat de Llobregat will be covered by a direct bus service, with an estimated travel time of 45 minutes. From El Prat, passengers can reconnect with regular train services or the metro.
