The Rodalies R13 service was interrupted on Sunday morning, February 8, between Salomó and Valls following a freight train breakdown, adding to the network's chronic delays.

The new service interruption on the R13 occurred around 08:45 AM, just one day after major citizen protests in Barcelona. Renfe implemented an alternative road service between the stations of La Plana-Picamoixons and Salomó to minimize disruption for users.
This incident adds to the usual delays on other lines. The R2 Sud (connecting Sant Vicenç de Calders with Barcelona Estació de França) registered delays of about 20 minutes due to speed restrictions on the rail network.

The R16 (between Barcelona Estació de França and Tortosa/Ulldecona via Tarragona) accumulated average delays of up to 40 minutes.

Saturday's protests were called by entities such as the ANC and the Consell de la República, gathering thousands of people in Barcelona. If one thing was clear, it is that the independence movement has taken command of the revolt against the Rodalies chaos.
Coinciding with the mobilizations, the Minister of Territori, Sílvia Paneque, announced the recovery of four Rodalies lines, including the R13, R14, RT1, and the R4, which resumed circulation after a landslide in Sant Feliu de Llobregat.
