Emergency services treated nine people following a residential fire in Tarragona on February 28, with three victims requiring hospital treatment at Joan XXIII Hospital.

The fire broke out shortly before midnight on the first floor of a building located on Penedès Street, in the Torreforta district. Firefighters used ladder trucks to evacuate several residents from the premises.
Five fire crews and five ambulances were deployed to the scene. While most victims were treated on-site, three were taken to the hospital with injuries ranging from minor to less serious. Authorities confirmed the building's structure remains safe.
