Over 30 arrested in major police operation against repeat offenders in Tarragona

The Kanpai operation deploys 320 officers across Tarragona, Reus, Valls, and El Vendrell to identify over a thousand individuals.

The Mossos d'Esquadra and National Police arrested 33 people this Friday during a coordinated operation in Tarragona, Reus, Valls, and El Vendrell targeting repeat offenders.

The mission, named Operation Kanpai, involved more than 320 officers from various law enforcement agencies. Throughout the day, police identified 1,138 individuals who collectively held 3,382 prior criminal records.
In addition to the arrests, officers issued 80 citations for drug possession and 20 for carrying knives. Traffic controls inspected 348 vehicles, resulting in 69 fines and the recovery of three stolen cars.
