The Port of Tarragona is launching the exhibition Navegant l'art this Thursday at Refugi 1, marking 40 years since Moll de Costa was transformed into a public cultural hub.

The show, running until May 3, offers a retrospective of the artistic activity that began in 1986. It features 38 pieces from the Port's Art Collection, which has grown to 125 works including paintings, sculptures, and photography donated by artists over the last four decades.

"2026 is a year of celebration for the Port, the city, and culture as it marks 40 years of opening Moll de Costa to the citizens."

Santiago J. Castellà · President of the Port of Tarragona
The exhibition is organized into four sections covering the origins of the space, portraits, landscapes, and recent acquisitions. This milestone follows a successful 2025, during which the Moll de Costa venues welcomed over 144,000 visitors.
