The president of the Port of Tarragona, Santiago Castellà, led a business conference this Tuesday in Zaragoza to consolidate a shared logistics axis between Catalonia and Aragon.

The event, titled Port Tarragona: creando cadenas de valor para el noreste de la península, was held at the Zaragoza Chamber of Commerce to strengthen trade links and leverage the industrial potential of the Ebro valley.
Key projects highlighted included the new maritime container terminal and the Guadalajara – Marchamalo rail terminal, designed to provide new business opportunities for the Aragonese industrial sector through Tarragona.

"The ports of Tarragona and Barcelona must work together with the Aragonese logistics sector to maintain and increase our competitiveness."

The meeting was attended by presidents from the chambers of commerce of Tarragona, Reus, Lleida, Zaragoza, Teruel, and Huesca, marking a significant step in inter-regional economic cooperation.
