Prison workers across Catalonia held a minute of silence this Friday to honor the cook from Mas Enric, in el Catllar, who was killed by an inmate exactly two years ago.

The main tribute took place at Quatre Camins prison, where the victim's nephew, Pablo Martínez, delivered a moving speech broadcast to all other facilities. The family expressed that they remain devastated by the loss, describing the pain as irreparable.

"We must ensure together that she is the last one."

The family has called for political accountability to enhance safety within the prison system. While acknowledging some minor progress since March 2024, they insisted that more must be done to ensure that no one risks their life while performing their job duties.
