Construction activity in the territory has maintained a significant pace during the first half of the year, a period in which 427 properties were also completed. These figures, which analyze the situation of developers and construction companies, were presented at a conference held at firaReus Events.
The evolution by regions shows varied behaviors. While the Tarragonès registered 598 started homes, the Baix Camp added 279. Meanwhile, the Alt Camp experienced a 38.5% growth compared to the previous year, with 36 new projects, and the Conca de Barberà started 13. In the Priorat, activity grew to 10 homes.
Regarding the sales market, an upward trend has been observed in all regions. The Tarragonès leads the volume of operations with 5,590 transactions, followed by the Baix Camp with 3,995. At the capital level, Reus stood out with a 34% increase in sales, reaching 1,683 operations, while 2,170 sales were registered in Tarragona.
Across the province, the balance for the first half of 2026 reflects a total of 1,339 new home operations and 7,206 used home operations.
