During the assembly held at noon, the farmers stated they felt "sold out" and betrayed by both the Spanish and Catalan governments, accusing them of favoring South American agro-food companies. Despite their frustration, the group has decided to maintain the blockade on the main port access via the A-27.

Revolta Pagesa intends to keep the blockade going until next Monday, the scheduled date for the commercial agreement signing. This Friday afternoon, the farmers are scheduled to meet with the Minister of Agriculture, Òscar Ordeig, to directly convey their rejection.
In addition to the ongoing blockade, they have announced a new mobilization in central Tarragona for Sunday, January 11. Despite the majority EU support for the pact, farmers remain hopeful that pressure from opposing countries like France, Austria, Ireland, Poland, and Hungary might reverse the situation before the final signing.
