The recent railway chaos has led passengers like Júlia Camprubí to use high-speed rail for the first time, utilizing free ticket passes. Camprubí, who usually traveled on Rodalies, stated she no longer trusts the regional service, noting that “there is always one problem or another”.
“"Arriving on time is the minimum we ask for. Not faster or better quality, and that is why we make the effort to come here by car to then be able to go to Barcelona."
Other commuters, including Júlia Vellvé, who lives in Reus, and Gabriel Silva, who travels to Barcelona twice a week, expressed their dismay. Silva called the recent chaos a “disgrace,” emphasizing that citizens need reliable service for work and rights.
“"Five or ten minutes of delay do not affect me, but with Rodalies you don't know if the train will arrive or not."
Meanwhile, the spokesperson for the Dignitat a les Vies Platform, Anna Gómez, announced a protest scheduled for February 7 at 5:00 p.m. in Barcelona. The demonstration will start at Estació de França, home to Adif's offices, and proceed to Plaça Sant Jaume to demand improvements to the railway system.
