The Salou City Council is launching a new maintenance and technical improvement project on Carles Buïgas street this Monday, February 23, with works scheduled to last until March 31.

This intervention aims to fine-tune the second phase of the pedestrianization of this key tourist road one year after its inauguration. The works include repairing damaged streetlights and traffic lights, as well as installing new street name signs. Additionally, rainwater drainage grates affected by heavy vehicle traffic will be reinforced.
A significant part of the project involves polishing the red asphalt to improve water drainage. Furthermore, the access from Torremolinos street to the Carles Buïgas roundabout will be widened to facilitate maneuvers for buses and trucks, while access regulations for residents and delivery vehicles will be adjusted.
Regarding mobility, the Local Police will manage traffic restrictions, particularly between February 23 and 27. Pompeu Fabra avenue will be closed between Pla de Maset avenue and Vendrell street, with alternative routes established to minimize the impact on public transport.
