The new design features 40% vegetation coverage, using native species such as olive trees, rosemary, and hackberries. These plants are housed in specialized planters with dune systems, aimed at reducing urban temperatures and providing natural shade during the summer months.

A central iron sculpture by local artist Antonio Cabello now anchors the square. The artwork, depicting dancing figures, is inspired by The Dance by Henri Matisse. The project also involved upgrading the sidewalks and asphalt on Navarra and Saragossa streets to improve pedestrian access.
Financed 50% by Next Generation EU funds, this initiative is part of a broader plan to renaturalize eleven public spaces in Salou to better adapt the city to climate change challenges.
