Railway user associations from Tarragona and Terres de l'Ebre have denounced that the Rodalies de Catalunya 2026-2030 Plan fails to include significant improvements for the southern region.

Platforms such as Dignitat a les Vies and Trens Dignes expressed their disappointment following a meeting with the Generalitat and Adif. They argue that the plan lacks structural actions for regional lines, particularly those with single tracks, and offers no real development for the RT1 and RT2 networks.

"There is no strategy to improve the railway service in the Tarragona region."

The groups also highlighted the lack of planned upgrades for stations on the R13, R14, and R15 lines. Furthermore, they criticized the proposal for the Garraf tunnel, advocating for a new tunnel to allow 200 km/h speeds instead of the current expansion plan, which would cause long-term service disruptions.
