Storm Regina triggers emergency calls in Tarragona overnight

Firefighters responded to 28 weather-related incidents across Catalonia due to fallen trees and minor flooding.

The Generalitat Firefighters managed 28 emergency warnings in Catalonia, including 10 in Tarragona, between Thursday night and the morning of Friday, March 6th.

Since the start of Storm Regina on Thursday, emergency services have recorded a total of 105 incidents. Most calls were related to fallen trees and minor flooding in various municipalities.
The North Metropolitan region saw the highest activity with 52 warnings. Meanwhile, Tarragona and Girona each reported ten incidents, and the Terres de l'Ebre region recorded two minor interventions.
The 112 emergency line received 132 calls regarding 99 separate incidents. Data shows that the Barcelonès and Vallès areas accounted for the majority of the reports during this weather episode.
