The Audiencia de Tarragona is set to handle five massive legal cases in 2026, including the Innova and Inipro corruption trials, despite facing a critical shortage of magistrates.

To address the backlog, authorities have announced the arrival of 91 new judges for Catalonia this year. Local officials are specifically requesting reinforcements for criminal and social courts in Tarragona, Reus, and Valls to ensure the justice system can function effectively.
Construction of the new Justice Forum in Tarragona is expected to begin in mid-March. This facility will unify various court offices currently scattered across the city, aiming to modernize the judicial infrastructure over the next two years.
