The CAP Rambla Nova health center in Tarragona was evacuated this Monday morning at 11:47 AM after staff reported a strong smell of gas inside the building.

The Fire Department deployed four units to the scene. Investigations revealed that the odor originated from refrigerators within the facility. Firefighters cut off the gas supply as a precaution but soon confirmed there was no threat to public safety.
Traffic on Rambla Nova was temporarily closed during the operation. Patients and medical staff were allowed back into the building at 12:30 PM, and all medical services have since returned to normal.
