The Official College of Nurses of Tarragona (CODITA) has formally rejected the removal of the medical helicopter from Móra d'Ebre during this February 2026.

The decision to move the emergency vehicle to Reus until a new heliport is built is seen as a threat to healthcare equity. The association warns that residents in the Terres de l'Ebre region will face longer transport times to hospitals.

"The territory is losing an essential emergency service affecting safety and care quality."

CODITA pointed out that a similar withdrawal occurred in February 2025 due to a shortage of vehicles. They are calling for immediate action to ensure efficient and effective medical care for the local population.
